Experienced Home Support Workers

My Carer, can provide experienced and competent professionals who can deliver the highest possible standard of care and support to our clients. We ensure that as a minimum, all our care staff receive a full care certificate induction by one of our fully trained trainers. After induction, the care staff proceed to complete the care certificate, where they are observed and knowledge assessed by a competent assessor.

All our care staff have practical manual handling training and are trained to use all the equipment. We work closely with Sobell House for our end of life care training requirements, for Home Support Workers and management.

All staff training and monitoring are ongoing and we continually and regularly take competence training and refresher training, as well as regular spot checks, supervisions and appraisals.

All the Home Support Workers hold a level 2 or 3 diploma/NVQ in care or have the opportunity to gain one while working with our team. As well as a certificate in dementia care & care of stroke and Parkinson sufferers.

We have access to nurses, doctors and specialist care training as and when you needs change, care staff can be professionally trained to meet your needs.

Suitability of Staff

We thoroughly check all our staff to safeguard our clients, these checks include:

Enhanced disclosure and barring service check (DBS)
Rigorous interview process
Appropriate and current references

We run regular team meetings and supervisions to ensure any concerns are addressed and met. Key home support workers are encouraged to attend reviews and assessments of the clients, to ensure we are able to meet their needs and requirements.
